The Chelsea Townhouses, SW3

Located in the Brompton Quarter in the heart of Chelsea, we demolished a 1960s commercial block to create three new-build properties of just over 4,000 sq ft each. Featuring double-height kitchens, four bedroom suites, a cinema, lift and a garage, each house was finished to a very high standard, and all were sold for a local record price per square foot.

Construction saw the retention of the existing R.C. single basement walls, with the new basement below constructed with the existing slab removed, leaving reinforcement at the perimeter to tie in to the new underpins forming the second basement below. The superstructure above was formed of load bearing masonry party walls with steel beams supporting timber floors.

“the finish is so exquisite and the textures so varied…
a masterclass” – The Sunday Times.
