Parkgate - Exterior

PARKGATE HOUSE, SW11

Located in Battersea just south of the river near the entrance to Battersea Park East, we took possession of the two remaining commercial units in an old 19th century Bakery on the ground floor.

Construction saw the conversion and refurbishment of two two-bedroomed apartments. The project was executed on a very tight construction programme within a fully occupied high end residential building.

We needed to form a new sewer connection from the main living area into middle of a busy street. Without the luxury of time on our hands and saving cost to the client we opted to sink a shaft in the car park and tunnelled 10 meters under the road to form a new connection, thus circumnavigating the need for council and highway approvals.

High 3.4m ceilings with full-height joinery and Crittal doors with a lead-in of 17 weeks on a 22 week programme saw extra care taken and millimetre perfect floor to ceiling heights achieved.
